The company was born in 1956 in France and takes its name from the man who created the brand, Philippe Model. His passion for art was passed on to him by his mother who always encouraged him in this sector, so much so that at the age of 12 he started designing children's shoes. Only 10 years later, at the age of 22, Philippe Model launched his brand, becoming to all intents and purposes one of the most influential figures in French fashion at the time. In the eighties, Philippe moved to Italy to continue studying and researching new styles and materials for his footwear. It is precisely in our country that Philippe Model creates one of his most famous works, the Elastic, which becomes his icon. It was a shoe that will anticipate the concept of sneakers. A few years later, together with his sister, Philippe opens his first boutique in Paris. His creations will become increasingly popular also thanks to the fact that they were worn by various famous people. Over the years, he has received many awards and some of his creations have also been exhibited in various museums. This eclectic brand perfectly mixes all the characteristics of the French capital, that is, energy, art, speed and the succession of new landscapes with an ever-changing atmosphere.
